FAQ’s

Bookings and Enrollments

  • Yes bookings are required, but we are flexible and can do very last minute bookings. To do so text and or call: 0466 427 708.

  • Log in to Training Desk and you will be directed to your student dashboard where you can view all of your upcoming courses.

  • Yes! You’ll need a USI. It’s your Unique Student Identifier and is your personal education number required for all nationally recognised study.

Training

  • Whatever you feel comfortable in! High Vis and/or PPE are not required for our courses.

    Wear enclosed shoes for any courses that require climbing on structures e.g Working at Heights, Confined space entry.

    Preferably no skirts for First Aid and CPR due to awkward moments in the past with the “Recovery position” scenarios.

  • Any snacks or lunch for a full day course, water bottle to fill with filtered water.

    An open mind to learn more and a positive attitude! 😉

  • No full catering however we do have tea, coffee, biscuits etc and lollies to sustain your brain!

    Please bring your own lunch and snacks, and of course you are free to use our fridges, microwave, toaster etc 😊

  • Log in to Training Desk and you will be directed to your student dashboard where you can find all of your online learning resources.

  • To be deemed competent for CPR and First Aid you must demonstrate 2 minutes of uninterrupted CPR on the floor using an adult manikin. If you have an injury or disability that prevents you from doing this, or any of the other skills required to be deemed competent, please let your trainer know at the beginning of the course or prior to the training and we will do our very best to apply reasonable adjustment. We can also assess certain skills on another date when you are more able.

Certificates

  • Once you have completed all your face to face training, or your online learning and short face to face assessment, your assessor will process your course and in turn your certificate will be issued.

  • All CPR and First Aid related certificates are nationally recognised.

  • Provide CPR and LVR requires annual renewal.

    First Aid certificates allow for a 3-year accreditation unless your workplace industry specifies otherwise. This includes:

    • HLTAID014 - Provide Advanced First Aid

    • HLTAID012 - Provide First Aid in an education and care setting

    • HLTAID011 - Provide First Aid

    • HLTAID010 - Provide basic emergency life support

    • HLTAID013 - Provide First Aid in remote or isolated site

    Most safety courses listed below suggest a 2 yearly renewal, but this is also dependent upon your workplace’s requirements. (There is no national standard).

    • Course Set: RIIWHS202E & MSMWHS217 - Confined Space and Gas Testing Atmospheres

    • MSMWHS217 - Gas test atmospheres

    • RIIWHS202E - Enter and work in confined spaces

    • Course Set: PUAFER005 & PUAFER006 - Fire Warden and Fire Extinguisher training

    • CPPFES2005 - Demonstrate first attack firefighting equipment

  • You can find your certificates by logging in to Training Desk and viewing the “Certificates” tab.

  • If you can not see your certificate, check that you have completed all of your online learning. This includes the student declaration and potentially an Incident Report if a First Aid related course. In Training Desk, you’ll see “Digital assessment available” on your dashboard. Click on that and follow the prompts to finalise your student declaration and incident report. Your assessor will mark it and then BOOM!, your certificate will become available.
