Training Technology
Cant beat em… join em! (robots)
Now in 2025 this worlds technology is advancing at an extremely rapid pace, and while myself and other old school learners would like to ignore it and keep life simple, it seems that more and more, if we don’t keep up we will get left behind!
Essential Training Oz are pioneering in the new digital training world with our introduction of the Fire Simulator (demonstrate first attack fire training), and the Virtual Realty Headsets to train and empower our students anywhere any time with little to no safety risks other than walking into a wall! Which happens anyway with people all the time, eyes glued to their phone screens, ha ha!
While we will continue to offer the physical practical scenarios at out training room, the VR and fire sim offer many advantages and make many courses safer given our environment (40 degrees plus Oct-March) and remote location - cant get stuff!
Virtual Reality
At Essential Training Oz we believe nothing beats hands on, face to face practical training, but we also place high importance in “keeping our finger on the pulse” and have now introduced Next World Virtual Reality (VR) training as an additional tool to our growing business.
This in depth technology allows us to simulate A, B, C, and E fire classes, including their characteristic sounds and behaviours, i.e. combustible materials, flammable liquids, flammable gas, and electrical fires. The system features LION Air/Water SmartExtinguishers® or laser extinguishers that interact with sensors embedded in a fire simulation panel. The BullsEye system’s sensors detect where the student is standing and the effectiveness of their fire fighting technique.
Technology continues to bring us new, mind blowing tools and we are excited to deploy VR training for many of our courses as an addition to the face to face practical assessments. We have found our clients are impressed and strongly engaged in this new phenomenon.
The advantages of VR training are that it offers immersive, risk-free experiential learning that surpasses traditional methods in effectiveness, safety, and cost-efficiency, leading to a more confident, skilled, and engaged workforce.
Fire Fighting Simulator
For safer training in the extreme heat of the Pilbara, WA, we use Bullex Bullseye Fire Simulator Digital Extinguisher Training System in our course “Demonstrate first attack fire fighting equipment”.
Our business has always striven to ensure the utmost safety and quality for our clients and the Pilbara has many extra safety risks due to its climate and remote location. The VR world ensures Enhanced Safety and Risk Reduction to our clients (e.g. operating heavy machinery, emergency responses, or medical surgeries) in a simulated environment where mistakes carry no real-world consequences.
By creating the stressful environment of a “live fire” within the indoor work environment, where students are likely to experience a real fire emergency, we can deliver outstanding training outcomes without the risk of burning the place down!
Brayden Manikins
Developed in hospitals, pre-hospital, university and voluntary sectors, the Brayden Pro CPR manikin provides first aid students and health care professionals with quantitative data driven feedback.
Students must push the correct depth, speed and positioning to light up Brayden the manikins brain indicating good CPR technique.
The Brayden manikin allows students to see the real point of CPR – getting the blood flowing to the brain and other vital organs. It has two modes that allow Instructors to effectively teach basic and advanced CPR techniques.
