This course is appropriate for people who are either employed in, or intending to become employed in, nominated occupational first aider roles. It is delivered in line with the Australian Resuscitation Council guidelines, relevant state/territory Work Health and Safety Regulatory Authority requirements, safe work practices, and first aid code of practice. 

The course provides simulated real-life scenarios for a set of skills to provide advanced first aid, oxygen therapy, advanced resuscitation, ongoing monitoring and care after treatment, handover of the casualty to emergency services and incident debriefing or evaluation to improve future operations, address individual needs recognising psychological impacts and seeking help as required.

Delivery options

Online & Face to Face

Following completion of your online training component of approximately 3.5 hours, you’ll attend a face to face assessment of approximately 1-2 hours.

Face to Face

Face to Face contact time of approximately 7-8 hours (minimum of 5 people for face to face delivery).

Recommended renewal period

This certificate does not need renewal in line with industry recommendations.
