Occupational First Aid skill set
This course is appropriate for employment in nominated occupational first aider roles. It is delivered in line with the Australian Resuscitation Council guidelines, Work Health and Safety Regulatory Authority requirements, safe work practices, and first aid code of practice.
Students learn through simulated real-life scenarios to provide advanced first aid, oxygen therapy, advanced resuscitation, and ongoing monitoring and care after treatment. Understand how to address individual needs and recognise psychological impacts. Learn how to handover the casualty to emergency services and participate in incident debriefing or evaluation to improve future operations.

Following completion of your online training component of approximately 3.5 hours, you’ll attend a face to face assessment of approximately 1-2 hours.Face to Face
Face to Face contact time of approximately 7-8 hours (minimum of 5 people for face to face delivery). -
This certificate does not need renewal in line with industry recommendations.
