Enter and work in confined spaces and Gas test atmospheres

Participants will learn to identify a confined space, identify hazards, conduct risk assessments, implement appropriate control measures, and apply for a confined space entry permit. They’ll demonstrate how to enter, exit and work safely in a confined space according to permits, and learn how inspect and select appropriate personal protective equipment for the task.

Atmospheric testing is an important component of confined space work. Participants learn the operation of various confined space safety equipment including atmospheric testing/monitoring devices, and interpret the results to take appropriate action. Included is instruction in the routine servicing of all equipment and gear.
