Issue work permits and Conduct hazard analysis

This course set will teach participants the skills and knowledge needed to complete a hazard analysis, specify risk controls to bring risks to ALARP, identify relevant personnel, complete appropriate hazard analysis forms (paper or electronic), and monitor and review effectiveness of risk controls.

Participants will gain an understanding of the permit system, the limitations of each permit, and how to make decisions regarding the need for and correct use of each permit.

The skills in this course set are applied in accordance with Commonwealth and State/Territory legislation, Australian/New Zealand standards and industry codes of practice. No licensing, legislative or certification requirements apply to this unit at the time of publication.

    Self paced online learning with short face to face practical assessment to follow.

    Face to Face contact time of approximately 4 hours (minimum of 5 people for face to face delivery).
